Just the fact that it is a fixed gear ratio limits your top speed to somewhere around 3~4 mph. Even with that understanding, this bike is disappointing. The de-railer needed to be adjusted as well as the brakes. I took it to my bike mechanic and for $ 12.00 he had me up and running.
